This classic link came from Brett Primack to Alice Russell and now to us. It's the last episode in the TV series "The Subject of Jazz" called "The Future of Jazz", featuring an interview with George Russell on the Concept.

Mr Russell's band includes Bill Evans, Art Farmer, Tony Scott and Barry Galbraith.

amazing huh.

as chesper says it's great to have this insight into what george and everyone else looked and sounded like as young men.

and we dial it up on our computers like a phone conversation with the past.

I think I pointed this out before, but maybe it got cleaned up after the forum fell apart for a while.

Jimmy Cleveland is on trombone in this video - one of my favorite trombonists of that era.
